Search effectively?

• Use * as a wild card character: john* finds John, Johns, Johnson, etc.
• Search for names in the Subject field by using Last Name first, First Name last (ex. Smith, John).
• To search for a name anywhere using the Keyword field, use an ampersand between the words so that both words are found in any order. (ex. John & Smith finds Smith, John and John Smith wherever they are listed).
• If you are unsure of the exact way a name is listed, use * as a wild card character. For example, a search for Burns, Ch* will find: Burns, Charles; Burns, Charles A., Burns, Chuck, etc.
• The keyword field searches all fields and descriptions.
• To limit the search to a certain year, indicate the year in the Date field (1973, 1999, 2003, etc.).
• Note the way the dates are indicated: day-month-year. Use <, >, <=, >=, and : for limiting dates. For example: > 15 Jan 2003 will find dates only after January 15, 2003. and 10 2009 (or October 2009) will find dates in October 2009
