1917 Booklet to Captain H. H. Talbot

This booklet from the Supreme Tribe of Ben-Hur's Supreme Keeper of Tribute, S. E. Voris, was presented to Captain H. H. Talbot of Crawfordsville (a Civil War veteran), thanking him for the donation that he made to the organization. A photograph of Voris is located in the booklet. The booklet is dated 1917-01-01, and it reads, "Mr. Captain H. H. Talbot, Please accept the sincere thanks of the Supreme Officers for your contribution toward the success of the 'Voris' month. (December 1916.) Yours for a bigger and better society, S. E. Voris - Supreme Keeper of Tribute." This booklet's pdf is 4 pages in length, and its file size as a pdf is 6.90 MB. This booklet contains the roster for the Civil War veterans who were members of McPherson Post No. 7 of the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) in 1907. It also contains a roster of women who were members of the McPherson Woman's Relief Corps No. 74 (an auxiliary organization affiliated with the G.A.R.). Some prominent names in the booklet include: Dr. Edward Howard Cowan (E. H. Cowan), Ambrose Remley, H. H. Talbot, Harvey R. Tinsley, Charles M. Travis, David W. Gerard, Barnet Hoover, Mahlon Dickerson Manson (M. D. Manson), James Atwell Mount (Governor of Indiana), and Lew Wallace. This booklet was printed by the Journal Printing Company, Crawfordsville.
